Liston Laboratory, June 2019 – May 2022
Characterized the inter-individual variability present in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) evoked fMRI responses using diffusion tensor imaging and other computational methods.
Work suggested that high levels of fractional anisotropy in the dorsomedial and dorsolateral prefrontal cortex region may be biomarkers for a stronger and more effective response to TMS.
Collaborated with the Max Planck Institute in Germany on the project.
Computational aspects of the project include FSL, fMRI, DTI, MATLAB, R, BASH, Python, and various other computational and neuroimaging software tools.
Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA / Computational Neurobiology
Gunawardena Laboratory, June 2018 – Dec 2018
Developed a modular pipeline that predicts the locations of cis-regulatory elements and transcription factor binding sites in the Caenorhabditis elegans genome.
Lead a comparative analysis study of how regulatory mechanisms of neuronal type specification have evolved across the animal phylogeny.
Collaborated on a project involving detection of a gene regulatory elements in human genes of different evolutionary ages.
Collaborated with Victor Luria in the Kirschner Lab on a manuscript.
Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, Dayton, OH / Research Assistant
Elbasiouny Laboratory, Dec 2018 – May 2018
Worked in the N.E.R.D. lab dealing primarily with neuroprosthetics and immunohistochemistry in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
Learned various immunohistochemistry and imaging techniques.
